Sincerely, my feelings about this in Aipri are complicated. Although the writing about their relationship is interesting per see, when they try to spin it around and call it a story about friendship my suspension of disbelief goes straight to zero. Maybe it's about how different cultures see what friendship is like but I just couldn't see anyone besides Tsumugi and Chii (that are the best relationship-wise writing so far even) being true friends. Maybe Sakura and Tamaki too, but everyone else are always in this obsessive status of lovesickness that's unhealthy for any kind of friendship I ever know of.

I disagree though. What feels like a mistake in this case is the constant insistence of Aipri trying to convey this story as a story of friendship, when it's more about closeness/intimancy than anything else. Those are different matters and it makes sense that Pripara became great story about friendship due their compromise of avoiding romantic elements (that Moriwaki book makes so much sense when comparing with Aipri now), and being careful around how friendships are formed in a way that I could totally see happening realistically.

People complains a lot about stories that are "Yuribait here and yuribait there" and blablabla. But if you stop to think about it for a moment, isn't Aipri "Friendshipbait" instead?

Anyway. I just wanted Aipri to be a bit more sincere but at this point it's far impossible already. Therefore, more TsumuChii when?

This situation is a bit less understandable because admission required advance ticket purchase, so they really should have had a better idea about the amount of traffic coming. I saw a lot of blaming scalpers, but scalpers alone wouldn’t have made them run out of merch one hour in to a multi hour event.
