Hope he got someone else to write it this time. Nishigori is a phenomenal character designer and his directorial style on Franxx was inspired, it's just that his script for the show and character writing was abysmal.

I would say that i'm buttmad to this day. Manga not fixing the retarded decisions and instead going off the rails before getting promptly axed doesn't help either.
