I suppose it is fair if you love Hanekawa. Her scenes were really great and built a nice side story. It is understandable why they cut them for shorter time though. While sweet, they are quite long and unrelated to the main plot. Not to mention how Nisio shits on it all very early on in the main series. Araragi really should've had Hanekawa as his human wife instead of Hitagi. I'm not even a fan of Hanekawa but it makes a ton more sense. I suppose Nisio didn't want a usual romance because he didn't want it to take up all the focus though.

No no. Even as a lover of Hanekawa, the entire reason she's interesting at all is that she is the unrequited love. The only reason her story is interesting at all is how hard he fumbles being with her from self deprecation, and how she doesn't want to help herself like some heroine in a monster story. Ikusa is a mess of technical terms and nuanced emotions combined with quite a bit of world building. I didn't read every last part because the translation was unbearable, but I read enough to understand how a translation could be terribly wrong. I remember looking on l once where someone mentioned Monogatari and it seemed to be the consensus that reading it in Japanese is like a whole different story. The anime is probably mostly tolerable simply because it has less words to translate and can convey more visually.

It already looks pretty serviceable and the arcs focus on all the lewdest characters. I know it is absolutely guaranteed to have a scene with 10nobu licking Karen. Shaft will probably also insert a bunch of random lewd shots as per usual. As for female director, no staff are confirmed yet. But also, Japanese females tend to be behind some of the lewdest stuff in anime and manga because they aren't as pussy as a lot of men are. Combine that with Shaft's overall boldness, and that makes for a pretty good chance at seeing some crazy things. Second season was fairly low fanservicewise though so I'm not sure why someone would wish for that specifically. Most of second season was just Araragi running around.

The only way I could see Numachi is her representing the opposing philosophy of always confronting your worries at every opportunity. Numachi was also maybe someone that Kanbaru could consider a worry that she forgot about when switching to high school and also coming to terms with it.
