Frieren will be faced with situations in which it’s hard to just walk in, wait for the demon to take a shot at her and then kill them on the spot. For example, what if a noble is keeping a demon for its magic and “feeding” it criminals? What if a demon is a foster parent for a child that it’s keep around as a beard? These are situations in which Frieren would be faced with a moral dilemma: on the one hand, demons are evil and must be expunged from human society, but on the other hand it’s no longer as simple as just walking up to one offing it. Maybe she’ll imagine what Himmel would do in those situations and be frustrated that she’s unable to think of a perfect solution that protected the happiness of everyone, etc. But, the manga creator isn’t very talented so these things won’t be explored. Demons are just shounen antagonists to be defeated. Which is also okay, don’t get me wrong, but even at that level it falls short. Frieren is vastly stronger than all but a tiny handful of the most elite demons — in fact, so is Fern. So is, for that matter, most named Mage Association characters. Probably, 99% of demons discovered by humanity are promptly killed off, no need for Frieren to get involved.

Pretty confident they will deliver again, it's practically all the same team who made S1 they just switched things around a bit. Saito is involved the most with pre-production, which is the most important part of any production, but then the other two directors (heavily involved with S1) will likely lead it. Saito is really not into action anyway and alot of s1 was not really his doing, especially once it got to the action heavy arcs later on.

They just look like they have spread the workload more, three character designers this time (apparently the single person who led this for S1 was one of the most worked staff) so looks like adapting based on S1 experience.

You would think that the old dwarf porked his human wife and had so much descendants around him to take care of him when he became senile but no, he wasn't able to produce even one half-breed out of her.
Half-breeds don't exist in this setting cause if they did while knowing how human females and especially males act all around we would have tones of half-demons, half-elfs and half dwarfs around here.
That is the main reason it can't happen cause knowing how humanity lvoes to fuck anything that oves in really big quanity compared to other races and hwo forceful humans males lvoe to act towards females of all races if they could, half-breed armies should be possible if they could be possible.

People talk as if this is the most popular series in recent years but that's clearly not the case. It's the highest rated but that is not a 1:1 correlation.
