Kai Ikarashi is a cool guy, good episode director / animation director / storyboarder. Guy understands scenes are more than just how good the technicals of the animation is.
I don't know if that really translates to him being a good supervising director though.

Fuck. I'm not sure whether or not that is a hot take. The Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 CGI bullshit that Production I.G pulled was enough for me to think that the entire studio should've been KyoAni'd. I almost dropped because of the dogshit visuals. But fuck me if that wasn't a good scifi firing on all cylinders. I can't recommend it unironically because it looks so bad and was meme'd so hard, but the writing was so sharp, it was true Stand Alone Complex. The ending in particular was amazing. Probably one of my favourite SAC stories, if I'm being honest.

Trigger wins on visuals though. Easily.

What I can confidently say is that the child is probably going to be polish, that design feels slavic european. The CDPR producer working on this show came out saying Lucy was supposed to be half-polish so I wouldn't be surprised if there was a quota for season two as well.

It's a firm 7/10, maybe 8 if you have Phantom Liberty. It doesn't revolutionize gaming like the trailers promised but if you're into open world action "RPGs" like Witcher 3, Fallout 4, the newer AssCreed games, or Horizon then Cyberpunk is probably the best game in that particular subgenre.

Has my favorite open world to just vibe around in, actual good gunplay combat, and the dialogue & characters are definitely a step above from most other games.
It definitely at least raised a bar in terms of presentation and visuals for open world action rpgs, which is why people keep shitting on every other game in the genre that came out after it in comparison like Starfield and Avowed.
