A sadly unfinished and delayed series. Its the same problem i have with Berserk. If a manga doesnt finish or have a capstone that then leads too a sequel manga. (IE DBZ, Naruto) It cant be rated as one of the best or even a highly rated one.
It will be sadly known as an unfinished project with tons of down time and flawed art towards the end. Its a shame too since there are many iconic arcs but that matters little if the project isnt finished.

Unfortunately the game looks extremely low budget and the 2011 anime designs come across as childish, or gay. If only the game was based on the manga, then even if the graphics were shit it would have respectable art design.

Let's also not forget that he skipped 20-30 chapters of buildup to just off screen the most major development in the plot and make Benjamin deathly poisoned off screen and enact the martial law (off screen).

Its nonsensical plotting. You end up with these tonal whiplashes if you don't plan out your story.

Must be because it's too difficult to copy One Piece's grand adventure format, whereas battle Shonen with overcomplicated magic systems have a much lower barrier of entry. Of course Togashi's autism is not to be underestimated and actually pulling a consistent system like Nen off is incredibly difficult, but if you fail you can just make things sound smart and complex and the battle Shonen fans will still eat it up without question.

HxH in most people's eyes ended years ago.
