If no one wants to watch it, it is dead
Every single one who tries to sell it through hype are ignoring the blatant fact that no one likes it

You can sell whatever you want at any price you want.
If no one wants to buy it, it is dead

AI is just another bubble waiting to pop
Just like what occurred with NFT and dot-com crash

Nothing has inherent value
Value is obtained in utility
If no one wants it, then it has no utility and therefore no value

This looks weird af. Like the framerate is too high and the animation is too stiff which gives it a bad CGI/3D feel. Compare it to Arc System Works' GDC talk for Guilty Gear Xrd where they talk about all the shit that makes up the anime look and all the crazy shit they have to do to make their CGI look like anime.

NFT was a short-lived fad, dot-com is literally just internet businesses, which is still very much a thing - bigger than ever in fact
the crash occurred due to the hype resulting in overvaluation
but I assume you are saying AI is a fad - which I don't think it is

The human brain is exceedingly good at noticing things that either look close to normal or are simply trying to ape something human or something made by humans. When the brain notices that stuff, it sounds an alarm and triggers the lizard brain to feel disgust and waryness.
Nobody with a fully functioning brain is even willing to entertain this shit, but unfortunately the world is completely inundated with subhumans without functional temporal lobes.

I wish it was. Unfortunately, I know better. I work at a company that has at least one ad that was "AI-assisted" and I suspect more fully AI-generated.
AI, even in its current, shitty state, has already replaced tons of creative jobs. LLMs will replace a sizeable portion of white collar jobs too.

Yes, because it's cheap as shit currently, but if the thing runs at cost, your company will quickly start spending way too much and graphic designers will easily be able to undercut it. It is also more efficient to HIRE someone to do a thing than to tell someone to do a thing with a tool, if that someone doesn't know how to to do it.

It will stabilize once it found its market amongst the ones who find it useful but it ain't gonna replace cash
And guess how the other cryptos went

AI is going the same route
It doesn't fill any niche. It just disrupts a market that is already filled without contributing anything useful or adding anything new.

You can already use AI interpolation like RIFE on your PC and most modern TVs have decent built in interpolation as well. Studios themselves aren't going to increase native framerates though. That's a lot of additional work and filesize for nothing. I do expect studios to do away with in between animators and predominantly use AI between key frames.
