She's been with border since she was a small child. So even if she came from another country she'd be totally assimilated. Hard to say if she actually looks foreign in universe. She's not the only person with light hair. And we can't tell if she's got slant eyes.

I always thought it was pretty dumb of Kidou to do this, like let's say they do get Yuma's trigger, he'll die and would likely end up in bad faith with Tamakoma as a whole (which has the strongest team in border) let alone the fact that he should know by now that an invasion is highly likely by this point and you don't want an inner fight when a third party is about to launch a huge attack

author's character design makes it hard to discern a character's nationality. I mean look at Michael Cronin and Hyuse. Everyone believe them to be Canadian. Yotaro and his sister were the only exceptions that the readers and characters in universe believed them to be Japanese. It probably went something like this - she got to the other side, saw humans there getting Kazama'd, decided that HQ is wrong then went to Tamakoma for another perspective and stayed for the mood.

Maybe, but I think at most it's a combination. Even Border with its resources has trouble producing triggers for everyone. So it wouldn't be a surprise for a resource poor Neighbor world to not have the resources to produce triggers, but have the resources to produce significantly cheaper weapons so they could field soldiers who could at least fight trion soldiers, even though they didn't have a full on trigger. That'd let even low trion troops fight with some degree of effectiveness.

I was taught similar lessons with slight differences. My parents wanted me and my brother to work together as much as possible.
1) It's fine to rely on your brother, but he won't be able to do everythiing for you and you have to be self sufficient so your brother can rely on you too. If something is impossible, even after working together as siblings, delegate it to someone else and stop waste your time.

The way T-2 is structured now, he basically is a secondary operator who just happens to have a gun, with Yuma, Chika, and Hyuse as the real combatants.
It's a smart way to make a 4-man squad work.

My hunch is that it's also a difference in philosophy. Neighbor triggers almost seem like a artisinal thing, the equivalent of a ye old middle ages master blacksmith making a single suit of armour for a noble house to pass down generation to generation. In comparison border's approach is more informed by modern military philosophy with aim to be efficient, modular and relatively mass-producable

I'm mostly lurking. The Triggers are interesting and the the world building seems alright. The characters' expressions left a lot to be desired and it's a bit slow so far. Words from anons saying the early parts are boring and it will be good later is keeping me reading.

I'm digging the world. The premise that there is another one excites me for the possibility that it might get explored in the future. Characters are interesting. Loved how one of the conflicts this volume is finding a reason for Yuma to care after learning that his original goal is no longer possible. Art is readable and smooth but basic. Hope it improves later on.
Biggest gripe is the story, notably the pace. Even after 3 volumes it's slow so I hope it hastens moving on. Weird to think that this pace was normal in Jump 10 years ago.

Isn't it weird how they entrust Jin their lives basically during the invasion but apparently they can't trust him here?
