I think part of the problem with the connection is that the anime staff clearly referenced the freaking Umineko ANIME for Lambda's characterization. Aside from the ending with the Lambda/Bern speech and the brief mention of infinite monkey typewriting, which probably came from R07's outline directly, most direct quote references were in the Umineko anime (like trapping Rika in a birdcage or their game being described as contest of endurance). It also explains why you don't see Witch Satoko doing stuff like Satoko's "hohoho" laugh. Lambda never does that in the Umineko anime.

Thus Witch Satoko being mostly cold outside of a few moments where she does something more energetic, since that was how the Umineko anime portrayed Lambda because it was trying to be really serious and downplaying most comedic moments with the witches.
