Lacking animation quality I can deal with because it's 70% a walk and talk in one of 4 locations series for the first few parts, and it's just a question of if they decide to increase the budget for the increase in action later (they won't). What I really hated was the choices the script writer made for the adaptation.
At least we'll get a faint crumb of Angelica this season (I assume we're only getting half of part 3 and IIRC Stenluke happens a bit later in the part)

I guess I'm the only one who thought it was good.

The new season is by Wit Studio. The first two seasons adapted the period where she was lowborn status and magic was uncommon. From now on she's a noble and there is constant magical shit. My understanding is that the author wouldn't let anyone do an adaptation if they want to skip or summarize the early books, but now that we're in the high fantasy portion. So suddenly Wit.

I wasn't sure how I felt about part 3 even being adapted b/c if you're not planning on adapting the full series the best closure point is part 2 ending, guess I should be happy that there's somewhat of a plan. Now I can have hope that even if we don't make it all the way to a full adaptation, we at least get close enough to see Hannelore

I read like 2 million+ words of the light novel and then dropped it. I should try to finish that series one day, it was a bit boring but I still enjoyed it.

The anime got me to read the books, and those are great.

Honestly a big mistake. The Myne arcs were pretty boring so the later seasons really suffered in quality. Part 3 might not even have gotten adapted if they flopped slightly harder.

Really good. Mainly thanks to really excellent and novel world-building. And the social structure really matters and is a driving force throughout the whole series. That’s pretty unusual. It is a power fantasy to some extent, but that power is merely enough to put her in the top rank of nobility. So again she has to work within society rather than merely crush it and most of the plot is political competition rather than combat. It also helps that there are meaningful setbacks with long term consequences and lots of well realized supporting characters with their own motivations. Ultimately Myne is to a fair degree a charmed protagonist, but she is also working under a lot of constraints which makes it interesting. It is atypical for Isekai in many, many ways.

It is closed pretty early in the spinoff, basically in V2, that will be the plot. Hannelore experiences the reality of how she did not see the whole situation thanks to the gods' help. Wilfried's political standing in Ehrenfest and his future position as a giebe. Makes it impossible for him to marry Hannelore, it would bring succession problems again. Wilfried himself does not want to be aub, and that marriage would lead to that.
