Coming back after a little over two year hiatus and the board really went downhill (and people said it was already bad back then), what happened to this place?

I have a feeling the manga threads attracted the shitposting. Having permanent "hang out and shitpost" threads was obviously not a good idea.
Sunk cost fallacy. You've already invested too much of your time and energy into anime and /a/ that you can't stop, despite a plethora of reasons of why you should stop wasting your time.
I haven't noticed any major spam or schizo presence in any of the threads of the twenty or so of my pickups for the season that have started, and I doubt many of the others will have a problem either
Literally only noticed what you describe in the threads for Ruri Rocks which was an insta drop for me
So maybe get yourself a bigger sample size and some taste and stop exclusively following the series favored by mentally ill people?
You guys are a bunch of fags. /a/ is a glorified general board, every thread its own thing for a long time now, anything new or off the mold is retards, discord trannies, underaged b& or all of them together.
Theres no imageboard culture anymore, cry about it.

Not really. Clearly, 90 percent of the hardcore /a/ userbase has long abandoned this platform and just opt out of any community forums. I'll probably get there eventually. You just get burned out. Nothing lasts forever.

More than half of the food court thread is an image dump. It has 179 images to 342 replies, most without any text attached and most with the same filename, so likely one person.
