We don't know about Oujin. He can't sneak into Souboutei anymore to find food so we don't know how it's going to be for him. We can't be sure about trapping Koremitsu's soul either

>>280346064Thank you, this was great. I'll definitely read his other works after this, both Karakuri Circus and Souboutei were very entertaining stories. As the second half of KC was somewhat disappointing, I'm glad that this was very consistent in quality and writing until the end.

Other than the parting, there's also how Fujita hates Japanese imperialism which we can see from Zanka's reaction to Japanese's surrounded in the earlier chapter, and in the new manga Ginbei hates soldiers since he is an old man who survived ww2.
Thanks for the storytime, Anon.
I read the first few volumes back when it first started, but it was even more enjoyable going through the entire thing to the end.

>>280344183>I can see no colours from you, and you onlyI like that this kind of implies that Deido's weird vision really isn't anything supernatural. That he's just really good at reading people and that comes through in his synasthesia, and Takoha is the first person he really just can't get a read on.
Though then again there was also that stuff about being able to tell a farm animal was going to give birth to twins as a kid so maybe I'm just overthinking it and it is supernatural.

>>280344928Zanka will surely take good care of best girl.
>>280342325>>280342360I wonder if Fujita is or was aware that the only thing that kind of art took over was because it's an easy way to launder money. Take for example that tapped banana from years ago. When someone pays thousands of dollars for it they don't get the banana, they get a certificate that says that if you tape a banana onto a wall you are recreating an art piece. This certificate, in turn, can be used for tax deductions, among other things. While dadaism did start as something to shock people, it was meant to fizz out. But instead, it was coopted by corporations; just like how it happened to punk.
I'm sorry, but I think it's something everyone should know and that isn't said enough.

>>280346023EOP here - is the name of that house (lower left) anything significant?
>>280360135Yeah, unfortunately if you wanna make or even follow a storytime you have to fuck up your sleep schedule, it's not a major issue if you're young but I'm pushing 40 here and I can no longer deal with it the way I used to, I'm sure it's the same for many other anons.
I fucked up quite a bit during this one because of drowsiness and being tired, but I wanted anons from both sides of the world to have a chance at catching these threads and there's not really a choice for timeframes if you care about that.
On the other hand, I still do plan to make a Hyouge Mono storytime in the future, but it will very likely be daily chapters rather than a whole volume dump, so that doesn't fuck up anyone's sleep schedule, that was my original plan before the KC threads changed my mind.
>>280360446It's not fully visible, so we can never be sure, but it's a diner, and the ใ character might be part of ใใใพใ, as in Sakamaki.

And it's hard to catch up when there is a new volume every day,
Especially if you haven't read the manag before.
>>280360652Yeah, that's also another issue I have, there's too many storytime threads as of late and far too much overlap as a result, it's not really encouraging for people who want to start their own as chances are many anons are already following many other storytimes and don't have the time to follow yet another one.

It has it highs and lows but it was very fun overall
The only really bad point, in my opinion, is the role of Kurenai in all of this
She's underage but neither Deido, Takoha, or the author, have any problems making her the object of affection/desire for those creepy older guys and readers alike
>>280370089Someone already thought of that
>>280346194>>280346456In the printed book, though, both pages would be printed on the front and back of the same page.
Not left-right like a spread.
You first see Takoha painting furiously, then flip the page and just behind is Deido doing the same
>>280367277It seems likely. The design stands out a bit so I thought it was a character we have seen before and not a kinda random one.
>>280368532More than rivals, Deido and Takoha are really the same person but with the crucial difference being that Takoha didn't let his emotional trauma control him.
At the end of the day Takoha agrees with Deido's arguments but refuses to give in to pessimism and self-loathing, he acknowledges that he's way less skilled than Deido and deeply regrets that Deido ended up sealing himself away from the world because he could have achieved even greater heights were he not mentally scarred by his past, he doesn't condone all the killing and shit that happened because of Souboutei but he still feels for the guy because they're so similar.
Deido himself wasn't completely blinded by his deep seated hatred for Yomiza when it came to Takoha, deep down he knew he found a kindred soul in Takoha and valued his opinions, it's also why the cover art for this volume mirrors Deido's final painting, in the end Deido and Takoha end up connecting with each other and both grow from their hyperbolic time art chamber duel, they develop a genuine and heartfelt friendship.
>>280345342I can't believe he said IT
>>280345456An autist extraordinaire
EXITS
>>280345712the best one ever was T_T
>>280346064I have to admit Fujita has surpassed himself with Souboutei. What a manga.
>>280341404shit man I was thinking it could have been two volumes longer.
>>280359647with the fact there's two more volume storytime that started last week (Gantz and World Trigger), I'd avoid starting another one right now
>>280345610how does this work without taking away all of their friendship and character development? i'm legit curious, did they just create a Happy-Ending alternate timeline?
>>280374704It kinda does, kinda doesn't, OG Deido dies but Takoha goes back in time to help fix Yoshitaro and save Shinobu while Seiichi destroys the invaders by drilling the shit out of the swamp, that creates a divergent timeline where Deido leads a happy life and Souboutei becomes what OG Deido and Rokurou were talking about.
In the end this doesn't save OG Deido but gives a parallel version of him a better chance at life, also through Takoha's help, it's just that in the new parallel timeline the friendship with Takoha and all that development happens when Deido is still young Yoshitaro so it's not quite taking that away.
>>280345712damn it we need more endings with little boys and adoptive big brothers having their happy ending together
>>280371500Deido's philosophy is "boo hoo the world is a cruel place nothing matters T_T", while Takoha is "the world is a cruel place but that shouldn't stop us from achieving happines :D".
so who won the Takoha bowl?
>>280375139Kurenai, much like how Rokurou won the Seeichi bowl, all in the family
>>280345944I hope there's a multiverse where Shino and Hakumen live happily as human sisters with Faceless as their overly protective caring dad.
>>280374704It's the culmination of their friendship and character development. Takoha not only prevented the creation of Souboutei but allowed Yoshi a chance to properly explore and develop his skill without hangups holding him back.
The second alt timeline with Kinoshita, Makoto, and Oujin with this father's spirit already enslaved could be its own manga.
>>280375186Hakumen died seething to the very end. I don't think there's any chance of reincarnation.
>>280374015It could be done as a daily chapter instead. Those mostly avoid the worst pitfalls of a full volume and still allow for plenty of speculation and discussion.
>>280375139Kurenai obviously.
The doctor ended up becoming my favorite character
also gives me hope for making new friends now that I'm older and my only friend passed away recently.
>>280375186That would be the Wrongest thing ever and I would pay money to read it.
>>280376257The patrician choice.
>>280375139There wouldn't even be a bowl without Flor.
>>280360640I'm curious, please explain
>>280375233Nah, I think Hakumen's last thoughts were of wanting to be human, so not being made of evil and being loved.
>>280360539I'm glad the newest manga by the hyouge mono author gets english translations. It's been a blast reading it.
>>280341404I find that I wanted less volumes of fighting aliens and more volumes of takoha and deido sitting around arguing about art
Takoha's probably my favourite Fujita MC. Ushio's a bit too vanilla (he's way better wither Tora) and I'm sure many of you know what people found to be flaws in Narumi and Masaru during the last Storytime.
>>280380494Something something about copyright so Fujita has to change the tune, and most people dislike it after the tune changed.
Most importantly, the final boss sucked, probably the worst villain of Fujita.
>>280382701I enjoyed how they always show Takoha utilizing his Talk no Jutsu rather than telling, even as far back as the bathtub scene. Also managing the monstrous cast, all the while giving everyone development and a satisfying ending. Literally no deaths to cut the chaffe or writing himself into a corner. I haven't read any other of Fujita's works but I can ascertain he must have a high IQ and storytelling ability.
>>280376257Travis looked like such a jobber at first. I'm proud of how far he's come.
Honestly, all of the exorcists looked like jobbers, and developed out of that thanks to Takoha.
I feel like that was the point with the other exorcists being brought along at the last minute. To show how far our heroes have come.
>>280384048NTA but naruhood
>>280384048deido was right
>>280380499This. Her last tail was a Wish.
She wished to be born as "light" next time and for someone to grant her a real name.
>>280341404The middle part definitely went on way too long, I really had to push myself through like chapter 120-200 since it was mostly random fights against alien evil water minions.

>>280367862Evil Women are good for you.
>>280378186I can totally see Faceless being a single dad that's still madly in love with his late wife.
>>280384211Souboutei is actually the only Fujita manga where none of the major hero cast die, I'm pretty certain. Even Grandpa turns out to have survived despite countless death flags.
>>280346650>the second half of KC was somewhat disappointingEverything that needed to happen, happen
>>280353563>Souboutei is not my favorite Fujita mangaYou are right, all of them are masterpieces
>>280389407Grandpa has a new lease on life in earth's oceans, right? The drops remaining in all the people could count too.
I always forget this one came after Moonlight Act.
Was that one so bad?
>>280390736>Was that one so bad?The Volume 29 series? I don't know, Ushio to Tora and Karakuri Circus are his most popular series
>>280389407I'm pretty sure Moonlight Act has no deaths in the main cast either, since everyone who died got brought back to normal in the ending.
>>280390736>I always forget this one came after Moonlight Act.Because we need translations and new translations for the first half of Kakecircus
>>280392608No one in their right mind is gonna do that besides a publisher.
>>280390736Maybe it deserves a revisit.
I am so glad my wife Kaerikuro survived and lived happily ever after, Souboutei was destroyed and everyone in this thread got to read a great manga.

>>280384211>Also managing the monstrous cast, all the while giving everyone development and a satisfying endingIt's not often you see it done well.
I don't want it to end...

>>280407402We shall meet again for Ushio & Tora, and from there, on to the Silver Mountain.
>>280399873It's not as bad as it was when the Jojo storytime was ongoing, but still pretty bad.
>>280411785I feel there was a recent uptick. Maybe because its summer.
>>280366898Now Souboutei is destroyed...
>>280401770Grandpa becoming aware that he could fight led to Shino's plans failure. And why they failed? Because Shino tried to snack on a plane, who had Seichi and Makoto, who brought Zanka and Rokurou to Souboutei, who had meet and brought Takoha, who destroyed the house and portals that Deido's build.
>>280350365Genuinely a good reaction image.
>>280413879Grandpa was the key.

This thread MUST hit bump limit!
>>280429069>>280346023I've come to help.
Here's is Hakota's (Fujita's art friend who did Takoha and Deido's paintings) gallery. He is literally Takoha and got a picturebook published.
