Setting Saitama aside, is there ANYONE in the S-class, or any combination of S-class who could reasonable beat Goku in a serious fight? I’m thinking Metal Bat supported by Tatsumaki stands a reasonable chance. It’s Metal Bat and not one of the front-loaded power heroes like Tank Top Master to Darkshine because just being strong up-front isn’t good enough against Goku and only Metal Bat has an ongoing growth curve under pressure. Technique-type heroes like Bang and Atomic Samurai will just be overpowered. Tatsumaki can shut down ki blasts which makes her valuable as an assist for Metal Bat in this fight - although she does have a stand a limit and going past it causes her damage so ultimately Goku has the upper hand. technology heros like Genos, Drive Knight, Child Emperor, etc, are not competition to Goku.

Idk if you're going to use Murata fanfiction as canon, but Saitama was shown to have some sort of "zenkai boost" equivalent when he's fighting against Garou in the manga. He keeps getting stronger because Garou also gradually getting stronger.
If he got oneshot-ed by someone who outclassed him by wide margin, then he would've died. Goku and Bejita would probably jobbed because of their retarded "I want to fight him at his strongest" and their saiyan pride, but if he's fighting against someone like Gohan or Piccolo, they might just kill him early on to avoid another Cell incident.

Goku is leagues upon leagues above anyone in S-class. Even if you want to underrate Goku's raw power level, and put him on close to equal ground with metal bat (which would be a heavy underrating imo), Goku still has both high power and technique which is something no one else in S class has, they're either old man with techniques or a strong young guy that just brawls.
Tatsumaki's a wildcard because Goku doesn't go up against psychics very often.

He doesn't have infinite strength though. But he got no limit to his potential. He was struggling against Garou for a bit, then he "zenkai boosted." Garou did the same, and they keep repeating this cycle until Garou hits his limit. But since Saitama has no limit, he already outclassed Garou and already blowing planets left and right, and at that point, Garou already lost.
I think the idea of Saitama power is his growth. He'll get stronger over time based on his opponent strength, and there's no limit to his improvement. At least this is the case with Murata's Saitama.

Logically, to beat him, you'll need someone to absolutely outclass him from the start, and doesn't give him any chance to grow by killing him in one blow. Else Saitama would just scales to his opponent over time, +1 them over them, and won.
DB characters are powerful enough, but there's only a few of them who are smart enough to do it.
