It was good but not great.
This show declined in popularity over time, and rather quickly.
Is there a term for this phenomenon? Maybe a catchy two-word phrase?
Kind of the opposite of, say, Violet Evergarden, which only became more popular over time.

What are you talking about? Yes the show got a brief resurgence due to sympathy over the Kyoani fire but no one really remembers the show anymore.

Yorimoi was miles better than DitF. But to say it was the last great original is silly. Trigger would go on to redeem themselves with Edgerunners.

Edgerunners was pretty medicore. It was a nice surprise after how disappointing the game turned out to be but it really wasn't anything special.

Forgotten within the same season. Could've been an interesting show about actual rivalries between maid cafes but it had to devolve to lazy godfather gang violence. "Haha maids are killing each other" got old fast.
