The point of making a weapon is not to maximize guilt though. That's just random head canon that people have come up with for no reason.

Very recently in Sakamoto Days, a character had a sword go directly through his neck.
It would've normally cut his head off (as it would anyone), but it instead went completely through his neck not touching any of the particles, so he's alive.

I took it to mean that when fear reaches its peak, she'll lose control of herself and basically become a different person.
