i got into the manga cause of the anime but the more i read the manga the more i found the anime extremely lacking. kazuya was also way more cringe animated and so many of the S1 peak moments were skipped. just a few i could rack up:
- hospital scene took two dates instead of one after kazuya had convinced chizuru on a third date after bumping into her in college
- kazuya fell face first on chizuru’s tummy and broke her door lock
- pocky scene at the beach was cut, chizuru seemed committed to it in the manga
- chizuru confronted him at college after the beach and called his shirt weird, first time kazuya was lovestruck
- mami looking very much distraught after seeing them continue dating after the onsen trip, her jealousy very visible
- kazuya followed ruka for way longer and there was more desperation to prevent blackmail
- kazuya willing to break things off to prevent blackmail but chizuru told him he shouldn’t decide that on his own
- mami was at the new year’s shrine visit too and there was a scene where kazuya fully embraced ruka and covered her mouth which nearly made her lose it
- before the sumi date there was a scene where chizuru greeted him on the balcony, explicitly breaking the no contact rule
- chizuru thanked him for yelling at her after her play and he got slapped for glancing down her shirt
overall the manga made the relationships with the girls much more believable.
