Then there are basically no apostles near the main characters to do the raping after that for most of the remaining arcs. Miura still drew the penis monster so he was edgy to the end, he just didn't want to draw mercenaries versus horse cock forever.

Also that every edgy series eventually finds a comfortable status quo where the creator likes writing all the characters so people stop dying so much.
