I’m standing with the Kagurabachi enjoyers and refusing to hand Horikoshi’s committee-driven, merch-chasing zombie any more of my attention.
It’s painfully obvious HeroAca’s editors don’t respect shonen or its spirit anymore unless they can water it down for Funko sales, ship wars, and endless spin-offs.

It's dropping in late July, a soft spot before the real box office bloodbath starts in August with Jurassic World tailing it.

You think #1 opening = legendary success? So did The Flash. So did Morbius. So did Swordsmith Village. Where are those now? What matters isn't where you open, it's where you land, because after that:

There's a reason why Black Clover ran for so long and didn't get axed. Partly because of sunk-cost fallacy. Jump never recovered from the fallout of Dragon Ball and Slam Dunk, add Naruto ending into the equation and Jump are desperately looking for a new hit series that can keep them afloat. But also because of nepotism: Yuki Tabata has a lot of connection in the manga industry, namely working as the assistant for several mangaka like the Psyren creator, Kaiju No 8 and Beelzebub to name a few. Nepotism is very much prevalent in Jump. That's also why Watsuki got welcomed back, lol.
