Finally finished watching this masterpiece. I put it up there with Lucky Star and azumanga daioh when it comes to slice of life. Why do so many people here seem to hate Onimai when the latter does everything better in the realm of "cute girls doing cute things" than a show like say, K-On?

People hate Onimai because they're tourists. That's what else is amazinga about Onimai: It scares off all kinds of tourists at once.

Unpopular opinion, but I prefer filler episodes in shonen to slice of life. I don't want to watch a show JUST about hanging out, but it's cool to look into the life of characters that I actually care about.

Also I feel like a lot of people here just don't like the show because of Reddit. If it came out in 2013, more people here would have loved it.

It is an objectively excellent anime. Extremely well-made. Cute, heartwarming and full of soul.

This is my favorite part of Onimai. Mahiro and Mihari's relationship is the best part. I love how the two feel like close siblings. It's really refreshing to see. The Mahiro and Mihari chapters are always my favorite.
