I do find it pretty damn fun visually. Doubt I'm going to get too invested in the romance but I am curious seeing how the death-looping will manifest down the line.

Likewise, I love Japanese folklore and stuff like it so goddamn much, this show isn't the most creative with it but it's still really cool. Hotblooded protgag + mecha + folklore/spiritualism is a recipe for me to like a show. Being an original on top of that is just icing, I always appreciate TV originals.

The people who say that stuff barely watch anime and have never seen an isekai. Granted I haven't seen much isekai either, of the "game/OP" variety specifically besides reading the first 3 volumes of Kage no Jitsuryokusha, but a lot of people love to parrot things. A TV original anime that's also isekai? It's gonna get ignored, same with Turkey! this season, even if it's decent.

This has isekai in the premise, but it's more like a mecha show in execution.
I think putting isekai in the description turned away more people than it attracted. Anyone that hates isekai won't even give it a chance, and people that usually enjoy isekai aren't gonna like that it isn't a narou fantasy.

I usually hate isekai but I never read the synopses to go in blind. Just happened to see bits of the trailer of this show and it looked hot-blooded enough for me to start.

I wonder if MC's dreams of the isekai world mean that he was already there at some point and that the very start of the series is already taking placed in the past thanks to being the result of a time travel Bravern style.
