I think the biggest issue with this character is that his powerset is too similar in Ichigo’s. If he’s to be the powerhouse in strength then everyone else would have to be nerfed to make him standout. He was made pointless the minute Ichigo was able to tank getting hit by Yammy while Chad got one shotted. I’ve seen this multiple times in fiction where strength only characters tend to suffer with a big cast.

I just remembered reading an alternate ToP 3 Espada introduction years ago and I'm mad it didn't happen that way.

Upon seeing Aizen in the sky, Yamamoto would immediately tell everyone to get down and shoot a Ryujin Jakka fire wave at him...
Only for 3 reiatsu forces to immediately clash with it and neutralize the blast with an explosion.
We see their Resurrected forms' silhouette behind the smoke as they turn back to their human forms (those are the ones we'll see once the dust clear), as they argue that they could have stopped it without the others' help, like it was a coincidence that all 3 at the same time instantly protected Aizen and they were confident enough to manage on their own.

Now that would be a proper introduction for the top 3 Espada after a whole arc hyping them up, and it's the proper followup to Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra.
The Fandom would be forever wondering if they really could have stopped Ryujin Jakka alone, and how relative their powerlevels are to Yamamoto.
