Some of the shots are impressive, and the character consistency isn't bad, but I assume the trick is image to video using the same starting frame with multiple different prompts.
Probably also helps that the characters are all in the same outfits, and that the outfits are so concealing.

AI is all over the place simply by the fact that AI companies are not charging much, if they charge anything at all. They are funded overwhelmingly by investors who expect a profit in the future

In a few years, they will start asking for a return on investments, and enshittification begins.

Much like corporations failed to stop open-source software on consumer PC in the 90s, there doesn't seem to be a good way for corporations now to enforce control over AI. The general public may not care about profit motivated enshittification until it gets really bad, but the niche market that does is still large enough to sustain itself.

Motherfucker couldn't even move his eyes to look at his target. A consistent problem with AI is that it's so bad with character acting. Even the king getting killed here isn't reacting appropriately to getting shot. Awkward camera angles, too.

It looks better without context yes but itโ€™s completely devoid of emotion. If this were an ingame cutscene in a lower budget sprite based video game and it plays when something big happened itโ€™d be completely passable. But as something to actually watch, it looks bad plain and simple. Less appealing than actual CGI.

There is also a shitload of copy and paste faces, faces shifting from shot to shot, faces distorted everywhere, hands holding the staves are all fucked up,odd nonsenseical movement, outfits changing, details changing all the time, like the king's crown changing between shots, the city shifting from moldy ruins to pristine, the archer looking away form his target, him pointing at the sky when the target is just in front of him and below, no one controlling the horse, the color temperature changing all the time.
There are shitload more issues but that is with just 20 seconds alone.

Another looming problem is that AI needs vast amounts of data to train and the main source of that, the Internet, is now being heavily polluted by AI itself. Feeding an AI's output into it's training data leads to worsening results and eventual model collapse.

Maybe what works without being run by a shitty corporation will lag behind what the shitty corporations can manage burning money right now, but at some point those companies have to stop burning money, they'll make their AI shit, and that opens the door to non-shitty AI as a business model.

A lot like how Microsoft made their OS into shit because that is more profitable and the general audience doesn't care if their OS is shit, but there is also a niche audience for a non-shit OS and companies that make good money from that. Not as much as Microsoft, but their offerings are better.

I know this is claimed all the time, but give it two years. People see OP's video and rightfully call it shit, but they forget the peak of video AI gen two years ago was this.

Nah more like someone smart enough is going to figure a way to snuff out AI and he's going to be a billionaire in a day or two. There's going to be a paid internet with no AI and one full of it before big tech realizes there's a market for it. Same for spam/bot free internet aka the internet when people could actually engage. This version of the internet will still be around but it will be flooded with bots.

it's like everything, you need to use it right
AI is a tool. if you can use it well, none of the faggots here crying about "muh soul" would be able to tell the difference, and certainly no one here gives a shit about how many jobs could be lost because of it

same for cgi and digital animation
there was a lot of shitty hand drawn animation, there was a lot of shitty digital anime and a lot of shitty 3d, why should AI be different? it's just a tool, and if studies can use it properly, it can be good

sadly it's how technology works. when digital animation became commonplace, many people who didn't keep up with technology were left behind in place for the ones who can turn on a computer. in reality, anyone who ever had a future in animation will move on and learn AI, and the way it's advancing, in a couple of yerars people will be unable to tell when it's used

People don't appreciate things just because they look good, they appreciate them also for the work and talent that went into making said things.
Call me an optimist but I don't think humanity will so quickly start appreciating the work of AI over the work of humans. After all, soul vs soulless is pretty much whether the work has a human soul imbued into it from effort and passion, something AI can't do even if it can perfectly replicate the style.
If we do start to prefer AI shit, then humanity is actually doomed.

And then there is the fact that you can't copyright anything made by an AI in the US which will more than likely disuade the Japanese further

That's how tech-related businesses operate nowadays. Marketing based around buzzwords over actual merit or meaning.
Doesn't help that "AI" has always been a broad umbrella term that really does apply to many solutions, while the general public still thinks it's basically "smart human but on computer :OOO".

Stop. No. In 60 years they won't be looking back at anything, because the world will be flooded with so much junk that any sense of history will be dead. Agreeing with this. Sooner or later, ai will just become incestuous shit feeding off itself. Theres only so much it can pull from before ai slop will overtake the source material it's trained on. Using ai to โ€œenhanceโ€ or โ€œimproveโ€ animation is unlikely to be sustainable in the long term especially given how fundamentally flawed the results already appear but greedy corporations don't give a fuck as long as they can fire employees and save a buck.
