I finally got around to finishing Overtake -- many thanks to the anons (or maybe just one anon) who were recommending it so persistently in these threads. I really liked it, I thought it was very sincere and had a lot of heart. A very charming message about continuing on after life doesn't end up like how you hoped.
And also obviously Haruka and Kouya are great together. Their relationship is really cute but also has this slightly edgy quality, in that the show is presenting us with this credible age gap relationship in the middle of quite a natural and realistic setting, and Kouya is often so pathetic that Haruka has to act like a surrogate parent to this guy who's old enough to be his father. The same Haruka who has no parents of his own. And meanwhile for contrast we have pink hair and his dad as an example of a totally healthy and functional inter-generational friendship. It's a little screwed up, psychologically, which I enjoyed.

I watched Spiritpact this week. S1 has that clunky 2000s animation but is amazing, S2 is better animated but worse writing wise. Really loved the character it focused though so it could have been better imo. Overall a really fun little BL anime, can't believe I hadn't heard about it until now.
It has some narmy moments (not sure if it's because it's chinese or because the director has sappy tastes) and the timing of the kisses is weird but I couldn't find it in myself to mind considering the anime goes all out on the main relationship and everyone treats the main couple like they're married.
Plot wise and setting wise it's like Mirage of Blaze but with 200% less depressing shit and rape. Give it a try if you want something fun and light.

Not sure what you mean by "the novelty of homo" (S1 was released in 2017) but while it's not perfect by any means I feel it has a lot of heart, has that early lighthearted 2000s shojo vibe (ouran vibe even? it's the meta humor), and is therefore worth the watch. Don't expect something that takes itself too seriously though. While it has (clunky) plot, shonen elements, and depressing shit going it's mostly a silly little romance anime.
You will be able to tell very quickly if it's for you anyways. By the end of the first ep you'll know if you like it.

Yep, I loved it but I remember wishing the show shat on the older guy a bit more for that. Being both a kid and a tard wrangler for an adult sucks, I know a thing or two about that and there's no way it wasn't a strain on Haruka. Also, boys' love magazines are shit expensive while Ane-Friend is cheaper than yo momma. 300 yen for 700 pages if you buy it one month later because every single one but the latest issue is half discounted, how do they do it?

Also, it hasn't gone unnoticed to me that on Japanese bookstores they only use the “BL” tag for things that are romance stories with nothing else going on, it isn't even magazine bound. Classics like Loveless aren't tagged “BL” because they had an actual plot but all the shit from the same magazine that is is just a love story with nothing more going on.

It feels like that high society story in Nakayosi might just end up tagged that way though, but at least the characters are more interesting and the protagonist isn't yet again:

The 2nd drama CD's stories were announced on Animate Times and people praying for Draus's disastrous Starbucks order in S3 are going to be disappointed. Maybe they can redo it, but feels like optimism was already stretched enough on S3 as it was. Haunted Kotatsu is also being adapted, and usually I'd think "well they'd have to repeat it because later chapters reference the kotatsu incident," but the anime already jumped to various characters just existing in the apartment without their intros. The new positive thinking is at least HanRona fans get something. I rewatched the stage play and Handa's song is so good I feel bad for sleeping on his ship all this time.
