Manga could only ever be unadaptable for three select reasons:

All three reasons can be overcome, of course, because everything is adaptable. Porn manga becomes animated porn or video games, shit manga can be seen as profitable in certain markets or as a hidden gem by some ambitious producer, expensive to produce and unprofitable adaptions fall under Chainsaw Man.

I never read the manga and I could not understand what the fuck was the anime about.
It was a strange, unappealing mix of faux-real camera, stylized minimalistic dialogue driven scenes, hyperkinetic action with unreadable choreography, an unglodly amount of bad compositing and, worst of all, a clear lack of understanding of animation as a different language compared to most visual media.

This would be possible. You just need to be really creative with scenes and camera angles. Make it seem like two different conversation from each time looks like a single conversation. Never show two characters from different times in same shot.

Most VNs are non-adaptable, because of amount of content and internal monologue would require too much screentime. I can't name a single VN adaptation that wasn't butchered due to lack of screentime.
