2023's Bang Dream had some good solid episodes.
2022 presented us with a perfect season finale for 86

2021's Sonny Boy's ep 11 Boy and the Sea was amazing but still a degree below "The Saga Incident, Part Two" IMO.
2020 had ID Invaded which contain good content for episode of the year.
2018's Darling in the FranX was one of those hype anime that /a/ watches together.
2017 had a good year for visual direction, one worth mention is Unmei no Akai Ito (The Red String of Fate - Uchouten Kazoku).
2016's Flip Flappers had some good solid episodes.
2015 had "Omatsuri Triangle" (Triangle Festival), which was unironically rated as "完璧" (flawless, the most difficult rating to achieve). I've watched it 52 times and it had a billion threads on /a/ praising its excellence. I don't add to this list because it is not fair to the others.
2013 had Monogatari Second Season and had quite a couple of great EPs.
2011's s3e4 "Osanaki hibi ni" of Natsume is mentioned every single thread since I've been here and is as good as Madoka's but not as impacting. That was such a staked year. It also had Fate Zero even.
2009 had "Tsubasa Cat Sono Ni" (Tsubasa Cat, Part 2 - Bakemonogatari), which is also high rated.
