and while playing the game would familiarize you with the characters and some of the concepts, it's not really necessary to play as the story is already very different

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, they did a decent amount of live concerts and such, I don't think there's a problem with their singing stamina, the breathy singing is one of KAF's charms
probably no romance and there are no canon relationships beyond friendship, I don't think the anime will deviate from that but you never know
