Second, he would need to make Gil take Ea, and it sounds very unlikely that Gil would use it against him...
Third, he might still survive because of his armor, since we don't really know the limits of it.
But if he pulls Ea without armor? I don't see any reason why Gil would survive/win.

He would've fought against Archer with the strength fighting a low-tier servant would've merited in his mind and he fought Shirou with the strength that fighting a mere human merited (and that turned out to be a mistake).
He would've considered it a grave insult to EA to use it on an unworthy servant, much less a human (though it would undoubtedly have ended the fight).

There's an argument to be made that Gil could've ended Heaven's Feel instantly if he just EA'd Sakura on sight, but he was obviously never going to do that.

The Rho Aias that appeared while he was activating UBW saved his ass and it was done by Archer. Funnily enough, Shirou is depending on Gil's swordspam since his UBW is basically empty unlike Archer's.
Archer has a higher chance of beating Gil but how does he activate UBW without being killed?

I say it comes down to whether or not Gil would recognize him. If he's oblivious there's a good chance for him to get ONORE'd like he did with Shirou. If not then he'd just spam projectiles to try and skewer him, which of course implies bringing him into a near-death state and taunting him before a final blow. It becomes a case of whether or not Verg Avesta would somehow be negated by his golden armor enough for him not to want to use Ea.

there's no way armor can tank fragarach (though he likely has a tool for it but likely wouldn't expect bazzett to have it) and it's unlikely he would pull ea vs him.
He'd just use the chains and/or pull some gimmick weapon that kills him without letting him use avesta.
Chances are he still loses to avesta surprise and underestimating bazzett, but would be traded for avenger

at least assuming that's urobuchi writing him, if it's nasu gilgamesh could job to a bunch of insects.

Gilgamesh is a glass cannon. His Enuma Elish might seem impressive but his armor can be cut through by so-called "anti-fortress" attacks. So in many cases it just becomes a game of who gets the attack in first and a small chance of mutual annihilation. With how arrogant Gilgamesh is, his chances don't look so good...

His armor isn't that bad. It isn't the best (the purpose is that it has Anti-Petrification and other spell protections) but it can protect at the expense of breaking from powerful blows, which he uses to gauge opponents.
The main issue really is the arrogance. It wasn't as big of an issue back in FSN when he was meant to be a final boss strongest of all servants (to the point he actually used shit like invisible swords and other tricky weapons rather than just spamming GoB as bullets) but over time it became a more balancing factor, to the point Nasu went on interview to state it could cause him to lose to Saber Alter depending on his master.
Not even FGO, it's Extella that proves that best. While Gil did play along with Altera because everything was under control, he got a ton of losses all-around since he isn't putting effort. To the point in Umbral Star that Altera is seen as the biggest threat due to the sum of power and strategical skill, while in Link he got the most embarrassing display with Karl turned him into a battery.
