I've mostly stopped liking harems because ironically I don't really like harem ends but I also don't like when the winner is too obvious. Why am I committing to reading 100+ chapters of a series when it's obvious who'll win from chapter 1? It also tends to be the blandest, more boring girl that won't cause any kind of controversy. I also have even less respect for series like Bokuben or Amagami that go for omnibus endings. Problems with 5toubun aside, I respect Negi for not defaulting to Itsuki because of that.
