Why couldn't they have just done this? Now it's like Game of Thrones, just speedrunning to the finale that will no doubt lack impact because all the buildup the original author would've included won't be present. Obviously this is being done with much more respect for the original vision than GoT but it's the same idea

There was no way for anyone other than Muira to follow up on Guts, Casca, and Griffith being together for the first time since the eclipse in a satisfying way and they shouldn't have attempted to

Guts will be reunited with the behelit he took, and because he's looking for a way out (mainly by dying), it'll naturally activate. Being surrounded by astral magic will allow his beast of darkness to take over and fight off the apostles trying to eat him, and his party will enter the zone to save him. He'll be reminded of his new companions and finally get a buff by merging with his beast of darkness, like some sort of psuedo apostle, but by absorbing astral magic of his own volition. The god hand will be like "wow we're impressed but also fuck you mortal", and they'll get pulled out by skull night or the kushan mages.

I think Void will betray Griffith just like how Griffith was betrayed by the King during Golden Age and Void will offer Guts the chance to kill Griffith, with Guts having a dilemma because Griffith shares a body with his son.

I think Miura should have done doodles of key chapters to the end of the manga just so we could at least get a idea of the real ending and then we could just get fan artist to give us proper art.
