Homeschooling doesn't mean the kids can't go out of the house, dude. There's co-ops, and there's simply free time for socialization, which homeschool kids have a lot of because they don't waste time on unnecessary bullshit like in schools.
Besides, it's not like schools are places for socialization. You only get 30-60 minutes of breaks, and the rest of the time is spent on the classroom where you aren't allowed to talk to the other kids but simply take dictations/exams/etc.

The limited time I was in school it certainly is a place of socialization. Just the lunch breaks alone meant I have friends into adulthood. I made friends with 0 of the people I met outside school during childhood because the limitation of it being only extra-curriculars really limits any potential growth of friends since you're focused on the game.
Even outside official breaks there's group projects, gym, and all those little bits of downtime within lessons where you can have idle chatter. That's where you learn to not be a social retard.

I have a question in regards to the manga, there is a plot point that I'm a bit confused on.

What exactly happened when Takopii went back home? Ocotomom says she will erase his memories and revert him to the "happy" state he was in when he was born, but she ALSO says he came here alone and that he broke the number 1 law and he's banished. What the fuck does that mean? Is the LAW that your not supposed to come home alone? Was he supposed to bring Shizuka back with him to the home planet? Why is him coming back alone an issue? I don't understand how the line here is phrased, it seems to imply she is erasing his memories so he can forget the bad stuff, but if your erasing his memories why banish him?
