Basically yes, she was forced to leave MC's side as a kid because her parents wanted her to marry her step-brother even though step-brother had his eyes on someone else anyway but Satsuki really wanted to stay, so her destroying the garden was her throwing a fit, trying to make sure MC would remember her even if they hated her, yes Satsuki does let Ishihara (black haired girl) "trial-date" MC because at first she copes by saying she can still stay at his side as a CF but it becomes harder and harder to cope watching them until eventually after some drama she straight up just confesses while MC is meant to be on a date with Ishihara, more drama happens MC doesn't choose either of them like a little bitch but then acts up after Satsuki transfers schools, MC chases after her and then they become a couple
And speaking of Ishihara, narratively she didn't stand a chance, Satsuki took MC's first kiss and Ishihara literally had to cope after confessing to MC because MC wasn't sure if he wanted to date her so she compromised by suggesting trial dating but during all that trial dating they never once kissed or even had sex and speaking of sex she literally brought condoms, THIN condoms that were obviously going to "fail" so she could babytrap him but she couldn't even have sex with him because at every opportunity he was finding a way out of it or someone else was intervening to cockblock her, I'm pretty sure the story telegraphed her right from the start as the loser girl.
