2202 could have been even better, but it dropped the ball towards the end with an incredibly unsatisfying final arc.

You're an idiot. The "Filler," are your mind rotted dumb ass calls it, is part of what made 2199 work and why 2202 was shit. The "filler" is where the characters explored space anomalies, questioned the meaning of life, and generally had the space adventures you want to see in a goddamn space adventure show. The show was a odyssey from Earth to Iskandar with the varies trials they needed to over come all the way. You can watch most any episode of 2199 out of context with the rest of the series and get a strong sci fi experience. Meanwhile the later seasons were just constant war, war, war, war, war. Quit being in such a rush to get through a show that you can't even appreciate it. Moron.

2202 fucked itself early on by taking ages to get going, and dropped off a bunch of 2199 cast because the director didn't like changes from the original. But yeah, could have been better than 2199 if helmed by someone else.
The Celestial Ark movie is just a long 2199 episode. Its one flaw is that it introduces the space marines but doesn't do anything with them.
2205 has cool space battlan but is confused. Also makes you want to hug Dessler.
3199 is a thing, and there's just so much shit going on.
