Anon, you're forgetting that manga's exotic foreign charm is the very thing that draws first-time readers, especially children, to it. That experience you had as a kid, feeling like you were holding a relic of some far-off land and initiated into one of their funny practices--in this case, reading books backward--has probably made companies a lot of money. And that's really the point of the whole thing, from their perspective. And good for them! We got our fun nip comics. In short, it's a fun marketing gimmick, and I'm glad they do it.
