>>280477119 >The appearance of the Neo Heroes is something even he did not expect.
Given how much Drive Knight knows about Bofoi, I find it very unlikely that he wouldn't be aware that the battle suits the Neo Heroes so prominently used originated as Bofoitech. It's all very suspicious.
>>280477446
If he controlled the monsters and neo heroes were a suprise to him he wouldn't let Blue get a free win. Drive knight is staright up bullshitting in this part.
>>280476454 (OP)
Hey, credit where credit is due, he's boxing for an A class.
People like him and Sweet Mask are carrying the fucking class that's being dragged down by bums like Sneck and Caped Baldy.
>>280476862
I think there's some fun irony about two cyborgs calling a pure human (as far as we know) a heartless machine. Bofoi being just some dorky looking old man makes him more interesting
>>280477963
My HERO is testing Genos's ability to think calmly under mental attacks. If he can't stay calm here, he has no chance if Boifoi chooses to attack his mental.
>>280477522
I fucking LOVE how serious Saitama takes the hero name victim group. It's not a joke to him, Genos' passion and Dr Grumpy Pervert's passion are considered equally and that's both awesome and hilarious
>>280477374
Probably has videos of him on the internet. No need to hide information that's available to the public if that means getting Genos to trust you
>>280478075 >genos does some magnetic spike attack >"If he could've been able to master it to perfection he could aim for the top of the hero world"
Japs really do love lines like these. Got keep power levels informed
>>280477528 >>280477963 >>280478020
Only reasoning I got is that Saitama's usual detachment is kinda kicking in here. He is able to help with Sweet Mask and Garou cause they were so hero adjacent, but for Genos here the motive seems to be pure revenge/vengeance, since no one seems to really be in danger at this particular moment. So Saitama is just struggling to see it as anything other than a goal to achieve.
>>280477493
Genos had it coming here, really.
Seriously, how the fuck do you still believe that a random cyborg with now-outdated tech would even be remotely a threat to Saitama.
>>280478256
I'd also say regardless of Saitama's personal feelings, he's emotionally intelligent enough to instinctively tell that seeking revenge isn't a good path for Genos. He's just not able to properly articulate that yet.
>>280478256
That makes sense. I don't think Saitama sees any reason to try to be tactful in this type of situation. He rarely sugar costs anything anyway. He's just being honest. He's not gonna tell Genos he thinks he can do something that he can't.
>>280478332
He thinks it's something Bofoi cooked up, whose most advanced robot jobs to a giant meteor. Genos was even there to witness it. He obviously wouldn't be able to make anything that even remotely threatens Saitama.
>>280478505
He's obviously pretty strong. He's also still rank 5 after Sweet Mask was kicked out, so I'm guessing Fubuki already surpassed him.
Or maybe ONE forgot to update the ranks. One or the other.
>>280477404 >>280477430
In the original he says >気になるか?キミには特別に教えてもいいだろう
Meaning more or less "Are you curious? I guess in your case I could make an exception and explain it". He definitely says nothing about asking.
>>280478604 >>280478633 >wave of enemies breaks themselves on Saitama
there's so many ways to make Saitama's invincibility look good, and this is one of them
>>280478662
So Genos 1v3 triple Dragon, then another 1v2 with (assuming) both of them also being dragon, with him using all of his powerups in the first fight? I know its a rage powerup, but still its kinda nuts he pulled it off. The 9% remaining power too
>>280478699 >>280478729 >Genos... >I prepared one last upgrade for you >please equip this photon burst emitter, these plasma missile arrays and this thermonuclear core >...and flee with them
>>280477528 >>280478256
He only even really accepted Genos because he gave him money, hasn't he?
They never really bonded or anything.
Genos just follows him around like a stalker to take notes and Saitama just gives him lessons super rarely because of the money and disciple thing.
>>280478685
They didn't just break themselves by colliding into him. He blitzed the entire group between panels. You can see he's holding one of their heads.
>>280478747
People have been speculating for a while that this is the second to last major arc. It's been going on for fucking years though, so that doesn't mean we're actually finishing anywhere close to soon.
>>280478780
It makes sense, hero association is in shambles and everything is going wrong, i bet the God shit will hit just as Tats and flashy get back except here unlike the manga it'll be good because no one will be prepared for hell
>>280478769
Oh I know, but visually the imagery is of an almost literal wave of robots crashing on him and just being destroyed. It's a visual that mirrors the narrative metaphor: Saitama is an unmovable wall that characters break themselves on.
>>280478763
He probably did intend for him to use them to go after the mad cyborg, but him fucking dying and seeing how mentally raped Genos was probably changed his mind.
>>280478641
Zero is associated with both origins, nothingness, and infinity, so he may well be the progenitor of the Machine God series, technically not a Machine God himself, but still an AI who builds further AIs to serve him while himself specializing in infinite adaptability.
>>280478894
I bet it's Tiger level, perhaps even Demon. Not every hero is a cheating glory hog like Caped Baldy, you know? Some of them actually produce results.
>>280478764
Theres the sparring, off the top of my head. I don't remember if it was in the WC, but in the anime I remember them shopping together and going out to a restaurant to celebrate becoming heroes. He also seemed worried about Genos in the Deep Sea King and Garou fights, but Saitama also stood up for Fubuki too. I guess you can still call Genos the closest thing to a friend Saitama has.
>>280478936
One punch man fucking SUCKS to live in, how the fuck do people survive, this world is basically apocalyptic, how do people even have 9-5's?
>>280478973 >hasn't been active since Genos emerged >Genos consistently struggles to control his anger >never phrased in a way that precludes Genos being the mad cyborg then being fixed/recovered to be his current hero self
I'm like 90% it's Genos.
>>280478978
Tbf, it's been repeatedly stated that in the past few years, things have gotten fucked, and it's pretty recent that things have gotten hyperlinked like this.
>>280479026
We might have had more than one mad cyborg too with each of them continuing their lives differently after their rampage ended.
HA had reports of several times mad cyborg attacked. They don't have to be the same guy.
>>280478780
I dunno, we were just introduced to two new villainous groups connected to Tatsumaki and Flash. It does feel like the endgame would be the third and last long arc, but there's probably room for a couple smaller ones in between.
>>280479054
I know Maruta has poisoned the whole God topic, but most likely the surge in monsters is related to that thing in some form, the monster association is only around because of Psykos who was scared of it to begin with
>>280479027 >>280479028
I was gonna say they hadn't done much together either outside of videogames, but I guess King confessing his secret to Saitama is more personal than anything Genos does. Then asking for training advice, but Saitama can actually help with that instead of Genos's cyborg parts. Closest thing I have is Genos worried about growing stronger, but that doesnt really happen until this arc, so I guess you're right
>>280476955
What an amazing coincidence. >>280477332
Monsters used to be way less common until a few years ago. I wonder if villages just disappeared once monster attacks became commonplace.
>>280478936
Thanks Anon. Jesus, I forgot how strong some of the Machine God series are. I know it's Genos but still they were not even trying and S-Class power didn't even put a dent in them until Genos went balls out. These things are nuts considering that Bofoi's super security system could only handle demon levels iirc.

I also suspect that Kuseno used Saitama's data in this latest Genos update.

Would be funny if both Drive Knight and Genos are Mad Cyborgs that are simply unaware, even funnier if they both destroyed each other's villages
>>280479678

if you're stronger than him you're S rank material.
I'd say Genos since chapter 1 washes the fuck out of that rapist so... yeah.
>>280479903
Sounds plausible. Also like the anon above you theorised, it's very convenient they waited until Saitama was asleep in the back before they attacked, too.
>>280479428
She was pretty much mind raped after seeing the future. Going from a naive right hand man to Fubuki to babbling about killing humanity for their crimes.
With what we know the most likely explanation is God interfering in the same vein as manga. considering how similar her points are to the monsters.
>>280479428 >Was she? I don't remember that bit
She looked into the future and went full schizo talking about how worthless humans are and they just need to stop existing and there's no value in even ruling over them.
The same conclusion Homeless Emperor came to after pondering in a park.
And after they caught her she was just completely out of it.
>>280479961
That would be brilliant, especially if they found out at the exact same time, like while confronting Bofoi. They would just look at each other like "do we fight? But wouldn't that be kind of pointless?"
>>280477079
It's definitely suspicious that the two strongest s-class heroes available are assigned to those mysterious missions at the same time, even Flash noticed something odd here. Does the Organization have that much influence to have connections with Eleven or the Abandoned Masses? Maybe some kind of deal? I don't know but I really want to see the pay off for all of this.

Genos is 100% there in terms of raw output but his biggest shortcoming is lack of any kind of defensive martial art. If he learned a few deflective tricks from Bang he wouldn't end up scrap after every bout
>>280480238
This would need them to know Saitama's strenght. They have been going after King since the start of the manga and never once manage to analyze him so Its really unlikely for them to change targets when they didn't even learned about King's secret.
Also I don't think the analysis was done yet alone Kuseno having enough time to create a new upgrade from it.
>>280480327
The only path for Saitama is OHKO God and Blast or jobbing to Blast, no way around it. He’s not getting a fair fight because that isn’t Saitama’s problem
>>280477252
This guy is actually goated.
Took me like 3 hours to do the same because I kept screwing stuff on wrong after unscrewing it and didn't even have the right screwdriver so I had to buy that specific one they got.
>>280480392
Saitama vs Blast will be just like Garou vs Saitama with Saitama in Garou's position, being utterly incapable of putting even a scratch on Blast and eventually desperately begging Blast to tell him how he got so strong only to hear: It's a hobby, but I do have a proper job, too.
Half of me hopes Drive Knight is a good guy. I just don't want such a cool design to end up as a villain. Maybe The Machine Gods were actually just spying on Drive Knight and him giving Genos info is what accidentally put him and Kuseno on their hit list
>>280477422
You know, I was thinking of signing the petition, but if this heartless baldies is the leader of the HNVA then I won't bother. What a shit group.
>>280480383
Genos knows Saitama, Kuseno knows Genos and Genos has informed Kuseno about Saitama. Part of the upgrade may also have been prepared beforehand and just be waiting for Saitama's data to be completed, which may even be the reason why Kuseno only gave Genos the upgrade now.
Also, even if the attackers didn't know about Saitama, they could have taken the data that Kuseno had stored during the invasion, including this.
>>280477422 >>280477493
No but seriously. Can Murata actually make Saitama say this shit to genos with a straight face? I feel like the characters have deviated too much in his version and this whole conversation would play out differently.
What would you guys think if Kuseno was even older then he looked and was like Bofoi in his youth/when he was an active player making cyborgs weapons instead of robots, but only setteled down after his creation(s) wreaked havoc on the world and he created a connection with Genos?
>>280480663
He also only ate half a banana every morning.
The climax will be Saitama finally arriving to fight God, only for Blast to walk in and one-shot him before Saitama can act.

NTA but mass replies shit up the flow of the read when you also check the replies for what the other anons said. Seperating your post is better for everyone in general.
t.guy who used to do it when he first started storytimes/dailies
>>280477522
This shit is so fucking funny. The way Saitama treats his new group 100% seriously and actually behaves responsibly, always keeping the agenda in mind and being all proper about procedure. Best part is that it's not even used as a punchline, it's just a part of his character now.
was kuseno the most mature character in the web comic? >easily gets along with saitama by bribing and helping him >handles genos trauma and also relates to him >often considerate of other >intelligent and strategical
>>280478256
The other thing is that Sweet Mask and Garou didn't want to do the things they were doing from the bottom of their hearts. Sweet Mask was wracked with insecurity about his appearance getting in the way of his hero work, and Garou couldn't be the hero who could save the kid getting picked on at the park, so they coped. Genos from the bottom of his heart wants to murder the absolute fuck out of Boifoi, and that's not really something you can cut through the bullshit of.
Now I may be a schizo but what if Kuseno actually picked Genos not from a random village that was attacked by a mad cyborg but from the ninja village that was attacked by Blast
>>280481508
You saw village twice and rubbed your brain cells together to make that connection >wait... genos was from a village. What's another village in this series... OH MY GOD!!!
>>280481287 >>280481722
I can't tell how intentional this is. I thought it was just a joke at first but that's not really One's style >The mad cyborg? Aiiiee I'm going a little mad myself here, cyborg!!! The mad cyborg went on a rampage in my village? Just thinking about it makes ME want to rampage, village!
Metal Bat stated that he can revive through fighting spirit. Does this section of the audiobook mean that humans with enough fighting spirit, willpower or whatever can come back to life? Garou also came back to life when he was killed.
Monsters like Orochi (who was created by ONE) who are capable of this. It seems that humans with enough fighting spirit or willpower or whatever can also come back to life.
>Genos: But that was his first fight with Kabuto and he lasted 3 minutes. That’s pretty impressive.
>Metal Bat: Huh? That’s it? It’s over?
>Genos: You lost, Metal Bat, because the damage you sustained were too grave for you to continue.
>Metal Bat: Huh? What are you talking about? I can totally keep going.
>Genos: No, when you get injured to that extent, it is over.
>Genos: You are considered “dead” in the virtual world.
>Metal Bat: No way Jose. I might have lost in the game world, but in the real world it won’t go like that.
>Metal Bat: It might be over once you die in the game world, but in the real world, a death is just a flesh wound. You can totally revive through fighting spirit and have another go, know what I’m saying?!!
>>280481652
Because ONE actually gives a shit about setups, suspense and payoffs, while Murata only cares about what he thinks is cool right there and right now even if it means butchering future developments and making every escalation feel meaningless.
>>280479678
The S class was founded to house heroes who are able to deal with demon level threats, whereas C to A rankings are based on a wider selection of metrics some of which have nothing to do with raw power.
Mad Cyborg theorists, consider the following: >Genos' name follows the same theme and style as Destro and Elimin >Drive Knight's real name being "Zero" follows the same theme as the Machine Gods being renamed to numbered codenames in the manga
>>280482432
I doubt it would be done in the shonen angry power up way it happened in the manga, but I’m not really sure how one would do it. Unless one would want the audience have a more negative view of Saitama’s attitude towards his relationships by having him be unphased, I imagine he would make Saitama “upset” by it but i don’t know how he would make him express it.
>>280482459

>>280478936
I gotta admit that I had lost a bit of interest on the webcomic during that wait, due to how much set up there was before an hiatus, but the pay off has been stellar and makes me want to read the moment the chapters drop; to bad it's only a few chapters a year sometimes.
>>280484380
Still, eventually that 5% will add up. As long as he doesn't die he'll have matured by 80 I'm sure. So we can't say never. Just most likely not.
Okay, new theory. Genos isn't the mad cyborg. Genos the persona was created after the mad cyborg killed Kuseno's family, and Kuseno rebuilt him to replace his grandson, improving upon the organization tech and reprogramming his brain to fight against the organization instead of for them.
>>280478949
I'm genuinely curious why doesn't ONE put more effort into this? Like making chapters more frequently. This is super good and it doesn't have enough for how long it's been active
>>280486691
because this web comic is him drawing for fun which doesn't pay. His three other works: bugego, versus and opm (manga) will sustain his financial needs.
>>280486691
OPM is a hobby, literally. Mob Psycho was his professional product at the time and the story goes he was pretty busy with the anime during its production. Plus now there's versus and bug ego.
You know, the organization isn't really that much of a secret. You think several robotocists are former members? I was thinking what if Kuseno defected after the mad cyborg killed his family, but that gets me thinking about drive knight and metal knight as well. Bofoi could very well have founded the Organization, and maybe things went to shit when he took up hero work, or he took up hero work in response to the organization getting involed. Super reaching theory here, but all the machine gods so far have talked about getting data from powerful people, maybe Machine God Zero was built to be inserted into hero work to examine heroes and monsters. And to reach even further, maybe the mad cyborg going mad is what served as the primary impetus for the machine god series.
>>280486641
yeah that was one spoiler that people have been really fucking annoying about. yes i get it you like the character but don't ruin it for everyone else.

On top of the other answers this also takes forever to make, just the final page with the robots probably took days to draw. He’s gotta write it too. Lots of work. Could easily spend a year making just a few chapters ahead of time for release.
>>280487672 >doesn't have to deal with a very well known artist butchering the story
We can't say that for sure. Unlike OPM we've just never seen his original drafts for the other series. There's no way to tell how much influence the artists had over the final product we get.
