If you've never ridden a cub, you wouldn't get it.
It's 125cc these days, plenty for most short trips. Frankly, if you're not in a rush to the destination, great for long trips too, mine usually gets up to 50mph though I've gotten to 60 with favorable wind and an imperceptible decline probably. Maneuverability is also great, super easy and fun to toss around, impossible to drop since its so light, cute as a button. It's also a great shape to have a top box. I put a 55L on mine and it holds all my groceries. $1.5 for about 70 miles. The trail cub must be a blast to go off road, I wish I could get one of those as well.
Also, to be pedantic, a moped has a motor and pedals. Cubs are just small motorcycles. Not a scooter either btw.
