Retarded dub hatred + the shit Monica and Jamie did to Vic. The first is justified sometimes (most of time these days) but they act like Lagann, Geass, Death Note, etc are bad dubs when that's clearly a lie. The second is what made me swear off dubs with few exceptions like DBS, Bleach TTyBW.

The new dub is closer to the original script also it's a union dub by Amazon now not a non-union dub by CR, so it's better by default but sub the only way to go for PSG, I can't imagine the show without the Engrish.

the dub is very funny. i like the jap sub as well of course. i don't understand the polarity. panty and stocking being fucking sluts are in line with popular west mean girl narratives, so the dub makes it come off as a natural (localization).

They obviously twist the script and dialogue to fit, and having issue with that from a purist perspective is valid criticism, but you can't say it's not funny because of that.
