Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the man who won the Feudal period and united all of Japan (then dying and Tokugawa Ieyasu taking the reigns and becoming the first Edo Shogun) was likely born under the name Hiyoshimaru, then in adulthood became known as Kinoshita Tokichiro, then upon serving under Nobunaga became Kinoshita Hideyoshi, then after some victories became Hashiba Hideyoshi, and after Nobunaga's death became Fujiwara Hideyoshi, then the very next year finally became Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the ruler of Japan.
