>>280541382NTA, but it annoys me how Anko just shows up and totally pwns everybody all the time. I guess I don't really get why she's there. Not her motivations, but why she's even in the manga. So she wants to kill all vampires... but why does the manga need a 2smart4u psycho killer? IMO so far her only contribution to the manga has been interrupting nice moments. I get that she's served as the impetus for Nazuna delving into her past, but was that the only way?
And this whole arc, I guess I just don't really care about it. When it was Kou, Akira, and Nazuna talking about their problems with daytime and how freeing the night felt, I really liked that. When Nazuna started saying that nighttime is actually kinda boring, and Kou started wondering if he was trading the tedium of daytime for the tedium of nighttime (instead of true freedom) I thought it was interesting. But I guess I find Anko just boring. She never really comes across as weak, so every page with her is just her owning everyone I actually like. Her backstory was actually nice, and I was invested. But, again, I stopped caring when we came back to the present. I think this manga is at it's best when it's more dialogue-centric with characters exploring their own lives. After all, it feels really clear to me that Anko isn't going to die here. They're going to talk-no-jutsu her into being their friend or whatever.
It's kinda like Monogatari in a sense. Monogatari has action and fights, but the majority of it is off screen because it doesn't actually matter. Yes, the fighting is necessary for forcing the conclusion of the plot, but the majority of screen time/page time is people talking. It's the mentality and motivations that drives people to do things that's important and interesting.
All that said, I am still really enjoining this manga and storytime. I guess I just have a bad feeling that we're going to get more fights and less fun
