What's your least favorite character archetype?
For me it's the annoying lesbian friend who's there solely to interrupt any sort of meaningful and/or romantic moments. The worst are the ones that outright split the main pair up out of blatant homolust and everyone just plays along with it for a volume or two for free forced drama points. Even the ones that actually have a point end up getting reduced down to "Ohh, I actually did it because I liked you..." and it gets thrown out entirely, or even worse reduced to a gag that she can deploy at any time to cut off any romantic moment whenever she wants.
Legitimately sick of seeing this archetype in romance manga, fucking kill it off already.
(Chizuru here is just a plain annoying lesbian though)

Fat or ugly MCs best friend.

Okay but consider this: you could jjust read a yuri story instead if you want girl-on-girl instead of constantly haivng main pairs get split up for 5 chapters because "Oh, I'm sorry boyfriend who I'm practically obsessed with, but we can't be together because this girl who clearly just wants to bang me says we can't..."
Not to mention these days most of them don't even do any sort of groping or whatever so you're not even getting anything out of it on that end either

I'm not talking about Bleach specifically here (thought that was kinda obvious from the whole 'no groping' thing when Chizuru's squeezing Orihime's himes right there...), moreso that lesbo archetype. I barely ever see it used to actually shift the relationship in any sort of way, they tend to end up just... drifting back together again after a while. Kuuderes are good if they occasionally get excited about certain things or act like cute oblivious retards because of how sheltered/autistic they are. If the most emotion a kuudere can show is some half-baked smile at the end of an entire arc that's centered around her, she can go straight to the trash.

"smart" characters.
most of them are written by authors who don't know how to make an actual show of intelligence or strategy, so what usually happens is that every other character will take an IQ hit as soon as they show up so that they can be impressed with whatever tactics the strategist guy comes up with, which is usually some basic ass tactic anyone can think of.

It's hard to quickly introduce "smart" as a property.
When a muscular guy appears, everyone assumes that he is strong, but "smart" usually needs a history of smart things to be recognizable.
The easiest way probably is to let others introduce him as "the smart guy".
