People brought back to life technically count as the same person. I know it probably wasn't an actual rule in the manga, but I like the idea that since there's a rule that only the first instance of somebody having their name written in a death note will work, if somebody comes back to life, they will be immune to being killed by a death note. They won't be immortal, but their lifespan won't register properly. In the fanfic I got this idea from, it was shown by having the lifespans be negative numbers like it was counting from when they died, but in my story it'd be more like glitched text.
The shinigami don't really understand what's going on with it, and they can't see the invisible Gantz shenanigans, and probably don't even know about aliens.
Also, Light isn't even Kira, because the death note fell somewhere else.
