Because the vampire's charm and sex appeal only lasts in the first couple of eps until she devolves into a generic love interest. Also besides the usual teasing with the MC, she just never really seems to go far enough to make the vampire premise worthwhile. Also it feels bizarrely prudish for a vampire show, like a kid who likes talking about sex but who's too scared to actually make the leap.
