Side 6 is basically a normal, everyday world, somewhat resembling present day Japan. But there’s an area inside the colony where immigrants —both legal and illegal— and refugees live, people who are relatively discriminated against within the colony. Even in a society with such a dark side, Machu doesn’t hold any prejudice towards the refugees and the illegal immigrants there. Whether that’s because she fundamentally lacks the concept of prejudice, or because she simply doesn’t want to acknowledge it, even I am not totally sure.
If a normal girl were to come in contact with a smuggler of illegal Installer Keys like Nyaan, she’d probably report her to the police immediately. But not Machu, she’d just go ask for the “compensation for her broken smartphone” or something. This is to say, Machu basically considers Nyaan to be her equal. In this sense, inside that Side 6, she’s certainly a peculiar girl.

It’s exactly because Machu sees Nyaan as her equal that the moment she notices the bruise on Nyaan’s face left by the military police, she feels so angry inside. She’s thinking, “Why is the police beating up a girl about the same age as me!?”. And then, she gets even angrier at Nyaan’s attitude of it being only natural that they’re being violent against someone like her. Machu’s inner anger reached its limit when the military police Mobile Suits started to arbitrarily destroy the buildings in the refugee settlements, with the excuse that “they’re illegal anyways”. It’s at that point that she decides to sneak in the Mobile Suit —it was a manifestation of all the anger she was bottling up deep inside herself.
Actually, it’s very similar to the anger Amuro felt in the first episode, when he saw Fraw Bow’s family getting bombed. That’s why I believe I was able to get Machu to step into the Mobile Suit in the proper, traditional way of a Gundam protagonist.

Hopefully nothing so they can get back to making gundam series. Its been almost 10 fucking years since ibo aired.

I will defend the show skipper. I thought every single Gundam was stand alone since I had only seen G and W. I didn't know Zeta was a sequel and watched the first 16 episodes. I was getting confused and was thinking they'd explain Amuro/Quattro's and other old characters in the future. I found it perfectly watchable. When I found out it was a sequel I mowed through 0079 in about a week and went back to Zeta. 0079 ended up being good so no it was no lost to me to have to watch it.

In retrospect, after seeing every Gundam, I don't find this too different from Gundam X where you piece the past together as the series went along.

As a 0079 watcher why should I be interested in Gcuck's plot? The story sounds like a really bad fanfiction of 0079 that doesn't really do anything interesting. From the little I've seen. Char got turned into a demigod who endlessly clubbed Feddie seals while in 0079 he was just very competent at taking advantage of a tech gap, and in Zeta he was among the top percentile of pilots but unable to outmatch Sirrico, Haman, Yazan, or even a single Asshimar while tag teaming it with Kamille. Did Char even have any character flaws or experience a single moment of weakness? Those made him an actually interesting character. I'm new to Gundam, so I'd say I'm a fan of 0079 or Zeta, but wouldn't call myself a fan of the franchise in general. I don't hate the spear, the spear hates the Gyan, it rips the hand apart, it rips the hand ball-joint off the arm, it rips the arm off the shoulder, it rips the shoulder from the torso, it somehow caused the back to explode off the torso.
Procedure for posing:
Remove the arm from the Gyan where the shoulder connects to the torso, attach the arm to the spear, attach the stand to the spear, move all components to desired position, clap twice and pray to Lalah, attach shoulder to torso.
If you want to play with the Gyan like an action figure I hope you like the beam saber.
The shield is wonderful, no complaints.
