Yes, EoE are a bunch of artsy edgelords that still don't understand what made the original TV series good. EoE was unnecessary, episode 26 was all you need to understand the whole series, the rebuilds were made to fix the shitstain EoE was.

No, they are not. EoE was made to cash in on Eva's success. It's a technical masterpiece, but it completely overwrites all the characters and takes them to an unnecessary extreme. Thank God, the best character, Kaiji, was out of all that nonsense.

Nah, 3.0+1.0 is easily the best part of the rebuilds.
Somehow it reminds me of Char's Counterattack. Deeply flawed movie in some sense, still manages to be rather fascinating and enjoyable.
