Kirakira Precure A La Review 35!

I am quite humored in my older age with Romance. I love it no matter the coupling; I feel like I am turning into that girl from Prisma Illya that wanted boy on boy, and girl on girl. I also just love me some Aoi and wish her happiness; Himari is just a plus.

I hit 1800 characters writing this, and still had 5 more lines to go, so two part summary for the anons that need it: The girls are all baking at the shop as Aoi huffs about an upcoming event she has to attend. The event is for a large dessert company and before Himari can get a hold of herself, she asks to be a plus one. Aoi can't help but accept. On the anti-kirakira plane Wolf boi is so strong he mocks Graves and heads out for his third failed attempt. At Aoi's house Himari is getting the rundown on how to properly consume sweets with elegance. She is is smacked down, but Aoi shows her how to do it, and then Aoi feeds Himari leaving Aoi's buttler to ponder the two's actual relationship. The day of the event has arrived and Himari finds herself exceptionally dwarfed by Aoi's presence. Most ignore her, and those that don't are merely looking to get angles with Aoi. Suddenly an event takes off and its Ciel and the other girls doing a presentation as guests. Aoi and Himari take this chance to go off and sample all sorts of desserts until Himari finds one she really loves and wants to know more about it. But Aoi is being pulled away and Himari must show how she's grown and do it herself. Once again people only look to Himari for Aoi and Himari reverts, running from the party to mope. She talks to her squirrel familiar only to run into Aoi, and both realize Himari has lost her note book. Aoi drags her off to look for it, going above and beyond to find it. They find it just as the dessert unveiling begins.

Continued: The Wolf attacks then making everyone agitated, pushing Himari about until she runs into someone which chain reactions into knocking over the new dessert. Aoi takes the fall and every screeches at her, but Himari steps in and drops only what could be love confession. Things start cooling so the Wolf pops out and for a real attack. Custard and Gelato go full duo, getting beaten back severely until Gelato returns Custard's feelings. The rest of the cures step in to help finish the job. Afterwards Aoi and Himari receive a series of apologies from everyone in the initial attack while the other speculate on the Wolf's methods. For Himari to accept the apology, she demands the special Dessert CEO to tell her his secret for his special cake. After Aoi's butler makes his final conclusion of AoixHimari and asks Himari to take good care of Aoi for him.

Thanks for replies. I see the overall story isn't to everyone's liking which I won't disagree.
But what I really loved about HS was Sora and I enjoyed seeing her strong sense of justice and good-hearted nature while displaying a polite and kind personality to everyone. Her bond with Mashiro was also very adorable.
Plus, everyone's show and lead tier list got me interested seeing more what the franchise has to offer and seeing more characters like Cure Yell, Cure Blossom and many more from what I read about their personalities and stories are like from a wiki.
But seeing that HS was my first Precure it might make me feel bias that I won't find another lead as endearing as Hero Girl but I hope to find many more Precures to love.
Also when looking at lead tier lists I only just realized that every lead is Pink colored and Sora was the exception.

I've seen every season and I enjoyed HS a lot. I wouldn't put it at the top of my list or anything but the main complaints I keep hearing are that it had a lame final boss or didn't do enough with its concept which... am I crazy? I feel like those issues apply to a lot of seasons in one way or another. I just try to judge a show for what it is and not what it isn't. And for what it was I had a lot of fun with HS.

I wasn't around for HS, but if anything, anniversary seasons should be considered cursed more often than not by that point because of GoGo and HaCha. Hugtto was great, but I'm starting to think that was more of a fluke.

I disagree, Hugtto was a mixed bag, it does a few things right, but the other stuff wasn't compelling or suffered from the show's weird pacing, and no, Cure Infini wasn't that cool, same with how everyone became Precure which felt unnecesary.

For me, even when an HS episode was good or great, the villains were so bad that they brought down my enjoyment of an episode for whatever scene they appeared in more often than not, so there were very few episodes I felt perfectly content with. Sure, most of them were good most of the time, but that's not an issue I had with most seasons. Maho villains were bad but not quite that jarringly bad for example. The fact that the finale arc is overall really bad makes the whole experience extra sour to the point I have to say the season as a whole is bad and not something I would willingly rewatch at all.

Her hostility has mostly subsided, and it's clearly just a more complicated situation now, rather than hating them. She's gotten very soft, honestly. She wasn't the most pleased to see Uta in Episode 20, sure, but she did nothing to stop them from having a picnic with Purirun. She told them to stop trying to restore her memories, because she thought it was hopeless, but she never stopped them having the picnic. If she was truly trying to keep them away from each other out of some malintent, she would've been against the picnic the whole time, including throughout.
I'd say, if anything, the worst thing that she did is maybe steal Tanakaan's house, but considering that it was primarily to give Purirun a roof over her head and food to eat, it's fair enough (And Tanakaan clearly didn't mind in the end, considering the circumstances).

I liked Meroron even before Episode 17, back when she was mostly just hostile to the cast, to be fair. I've just been rewatching each episode from 17 onwards about 4 times on the week it airs, so I've kinda paid attention to a fair bit, and it honestly feels like Uta is more selfish. Not that her level of selfishness is a bad thing, but like, Uta wanted to get Purirun's memories back for herself more than anything, while Meroron wanted to get Purirun's memories back for Purirun, and was bummed that she couldn't make that miracle happen for her.
