Now that I've read it from beginning to end in one go I have to say it's a kind of lame chapter. It's missing any hint of ecchi and that specific type of fish out of water comedy from the other world girls. I'm hoping that this curse arc is going to be wrapped up next chapter because becoming strictly a cooking manga isn't lending itself well to showing off fat and funny fantasy girls.
I have watched the anime. My favorite parts were:
-Kuroeda being professional in her job
-Erufuda and Kuroeda teaming up to try to win gold from Gonda
-Oku going "buhi"
-Erufuda doing a serious voice when explaining the lore
-Erufuda's shirts
-Raika doing yoga in her dog form
-Sateru apparently being a prude
-Raika feeding the stray puppy and Erufuda being generous enough to give the puppy her beloved potato
-Oga being maternal
-POTATO POTATO PRIDE (which I don't skip)
-Raika saying "Bony went bye-bye"
-Naoe standing up to Erufuda's aunt
If I have to pick a fave it's either Gonda who deserves more love or Raika who's a big puppy

Fortunately, we've got a (mostly) consistent release schedule for raws now that it's being published by Young Champion. As for the kraken, don't look if you want to be surprised, but she works at the clinic with Naoe and the boss now, and she finally has a name (Kurake).
