Thanks OP. My first time catching a thread. I'd see it often mentioned in Centuria threads, I read it some time ago, but by the time I was off work, the thread would be gone, so this time I chose a different strategy. I really liked how author managed to capture the mystery of Mom, paired with hazy childhood memories. Something about it that really gets to me. I was expecting all of pic rel to be powerful, mysterious, intelligent characters, so I was a bit surprised to see Flute act like we've seen so far. This chapter felt refreshing in that, I really liked the question about running away, made Flute feel like more than a monster again in my eyes. I have yet to re-read it (like I do most of the time with things I like) so I might be missing something, though.
