Honestly, it's kind of a shame that Cure Nyammy being a somewhat antagonistic Cure for part of Wonderful has been completely overshadowed by Cure Kiss being way more antagonistic one season later. I thought that aspect of Yuki's character arc would be relatively unique for a few years.
Meroron is a lot more fun as an antagonistic Cure to me because Yuki had mostly selfless reasons for wanting Mayu to stay away from the maniacs hugging rabid animals. Maybe she was a bit too controlling and focused on Mayu, but it was perfectly understandable that Yuki would want to keep her owner safe and prioritize that over the well being of wild animals.
While Meroron isn't completely a bad person or anything, her specific reason for being antagonistic is completely selfish since she wants to be Purirun's number one, and Purirun to rely only on her. Her possessiveness is due to her own desires rather than for Purirun's sake. She's willing to let Purirun hang out with the others, which shows that in the end, she does prioritize Purirun's desires over her own, but the show doesn't shy away from showing that she's if they don't directly contradict with Purirun's happiness, she's all too willing to let her personal desires run wild and cause problems for everyone else.

Kirakira Precure A La Review!

This episode was so sick, I had a lot of fun.

Summary for the anons that need it: Ichika is complaining about the swamping at the shop to Akira as they walk home when some of the older generations approach the two and begin begging Akira. Ichika knows what is up and also begins begging. At the shop the next day everyone explains to Akira about the yearly HOA festival where each district comes together for a sports festival. The girls are all going to be on different teams, besides Ichika and Akira; Aoi isn't allowed. Akira heads to the hospital to Miku to explain it, and Miku is denied joining with her fever. That night Akira has a little cough. Next day the festival is up, and the girls are manning their booth in shifts. Akira asks for her's off for the day. With the games beginning Aoi and her staff enter as a fifth team. For the most part Akira runs circles around everyone, slapping each of ther team down. Akira finally takes a break with the olds trying to support her with massive loads of food, at which point Ichika notices how much Akira is sweating. Akira blows her off and goes to hide behind a building. Ichika isn't letting Akira get away though as she confronts her and gets Akira to relent and sit the rest of the games out. Ichika takes her place and has mixed results, but keeps her district relevant. But wolf boi, now in his final Freeza form sends everything into chaos. Akira having rested for a few events is energized and the cures fly into action. But the new form curses the cures, but Whip fights hard, all because of Akira's determination showing how to shake it all off. Chocolat slows Wolfie down enough that Whip can ensnares him just long enough to bury him with Chocolat. The girls cleans him and waiting in the other plane is Graves who runs him over absorbing his power. Afterwards Ichika is now sick and Akira is taking care of her, but Akira is too sexy and sends Ichika spiraling.

I actually like Fresh, Suite, and Smile in that order with Fresh and Suite being about the same level of quality to me. I like Suite more than most, and some anons definitely like Smile the most out those three. The main distinctive elements of those three are that Fresh has a great lead and one of the best midseasons at the expense of the 2 side Cures, Suite does have the best overarching plot and main villain of those three (not so much in the context of the rest of the franchise, but I would still say it's in the upper half of in those aspects), and Smile is the most episodic but also one of the most well animated.

Most seasons have at least some people complaining about screen time, but that's usually because the season focuses on 2 or 3 Cures as opposed to the whole cast evenly. I'd say only Futari Wa, Max Heart, and Doki consistently get too many complaints about being too lead focused. Go Princess, Hugtto, and Healing Good are also what I would consider lead focused seasons, but they aren't as one-sidedly focused.
