Why is "anime girl running" still a thing in 2025?

Given recent trends here, I'm sure you'll think I'm trolling or ironic baiting, but I'm seriously asking. I swear real girls do not run like this.

That's okay, I'm fine with anything in anime, but I'm just curious. Kininarimasu. Why? What is this influenced from? Holding your arms out to the side at chest height and never moving them down?

While I'm asking, I might as well ask about the "Naruto run". It's done in lots of other shows too, including even Vinland saga. Obviously vikings didn't run like that, so I'm curious on what part of Japanese history/culture influenced the "arms down by your sides" running.
