I don't think that would sit right with me. I feel like in some way there would be a subversive element. But even if it was faithful there is a good chance something would be misinterpreted.
Not even including the art style, I don't think anime or really any style of animation would give proper reverence.

Which part of the Bible? There's a lot to it. >>Posting Jesus
Oh yes, who could forget the famous story of gigachad god NTRing poor cuck Joseph and had first dibs on Mary's sweet, underaged womb. Sasuga OP
>>280642964 (OP) >>"One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to lie with us, as is the custom all over the earth. Let's get our father to drink wine and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father." Genesis 19:31-32
I want an elaborate depiction of this in the adaptation.
You couldn't adapt the whole thing but parts of it at a time would be kino. Kings I and II, Judges, and Job would make for fun self-contained-ish seasons for the OT. For the NT, an adaptation of the Gospels or Revelation would work.

Christians would whine that it is heckin' satanic since they like being perpetually offended crybabies. The key to making a good Christian anime is to make an anime devoid of Christianity, so that they can pretend to be super smart by claiming that the main character is a Jesus analogue.
Sure, why not. There's plenty of passages in the Bible that are just good stories even if adapted through a secular lens. The Prince of Egypt and Jesus Christ Superstar are proof of that. Shit, the story of Samson may as well be a seinen manga to begin with.
A Kino's Journey-style adaptation of Saint Paul's travels would be truly kino. Each episode could be a new local church with heretics or other disagreements that need to be resolved.

The acts of the apostles in general could be kino, especially since it hits the ground running with Jesus gone and "oh shit now what do we do?"

Most of the shit people think about heaven was made up way after the Bible was written anyway. Christianity is like half made up by now, and half of what's in the scriptures is ignored, and I imagine that applies to most religions too. Nobody wants to strictly follow any religion that interferes with the way they want to live their life. And that applies even to many priests, monks, etc that are supposedly devout in their practice.
As serious as this was the scene after they get kicked out of eden where eve trys to approach adam in the cave and he holds up a rock threatening to hit her with it made me chuckle a bit.

which part, the isreal saga is repetitive. The jews are doing good, then they abandon god because lifes good, god leaves, bad shit happens, jews beg for his return, repeat.

some people are legitimately golems whose morality hinges on the belief that god will punish them for doing things he does not like (which is coincidentally about everything already prohibited by the law) so that might be a bad idea
>>280643153 >I don't think anime or really any style of animation would give proper reverence >but I love seeing other religions and cultures being put into cartoon form and bastardized for my own enjoyment
Fucking cunt.
