Tell that to the infamous Satsuki running up the wall scene. Their 3DCG looks like shit and doesn't blend particularly well. It's also not something you want to be using at all because it will always clash with 2D art to some extent. LWA has very little 3DCG to it's credit but it's lacking in other ways like having very simplistic and easy to animate designs.

So many Trigger shows look incredibly ugly, especially the recent ones.

I'd say they need to do a studio clean up and get new staff but the rot goes all the way to Trigger's core. The problem is with Yoshinari himself. It's hard to see this studio producing anything truly impressive, their tendency to do things half-assed goes very deep. Trigger are a disease and they lower the bar for the rest of the industry.
